Short and sweet, today…that’s all I have energy to do. 😀
Backlighting adds a great glow around your subject. One important thing to keep in mind is to make sure the subject’s face is properly exposed. If the camera’s exposure meter is taking a measurement behind your subject, then it will expose for the backlighting and their face will be underexposed.
I set my camera to use spot metering, so that means where I have the focus set, it will meter off that area. You will need to take out your camera manual to find out how to set up your camera for spot metering.
Just some examples of backlighting…
I LOVE backlighting.
These are beautiful, as always.
Clearly I have a lot to learn.
Best wishes
OOOH fun!!!
I LOVE LOVE backlighing 🙂
Great idea for a theme (and how do you come up with them all?)…I’m going to have to see if I can come up with something before Thursday!
I love backlit pictures. I’m psyched!
Yay! I LOVE backlight – especially through my girl’s wreath of curls. 🙂
I came across via Bonnie’s blog. What awesome pics…I had a go…truly don’t think I grasped the concept, but had a fun morning taking photographs.
