While I don’t have a photography business, I believe you can call me a photographer. I have studied and shot enough to earn that title.
My story has been told before – many, many times. It seems many photographers begin their love of the shutter with their children.
Although I have had a lifelong love of photography, it really didn’t develop until after the birth of my children…the little urchins. I bought a DSLR camera, and my love of photography and documenting their lives and experiences finally found an outlet. Much to their chagrin.
I am a creative person. I am also a CPA. Life is full of paradoxical nuances, isn’t it? I love to create and hope that my photography is more of an artistic expression than simply a snapshot. My photography style is a mixture. I love the drama of black and white photography, but I also love rich and bright colors.
Creation does not stop at the camera for me. I also design and sew clothing, in addition to drawing artwork. All of the graphics on my website were hand-drawn by me. Occassionally my post will highlight outfits and costumes I have made for the children. They are my muses. I love to create a world of beauty and innocence for them.
Life is beautiful. Certainly not perfect, but beautiful in each smudged face, scraped knee and mussed hair.
