The boyfriend

Our niece has a penchant for younger men.  While she graduated last year, her boyfriend is a senior this year.  He need some Senior pictures, so we traveled around my town to find some unique places to shoot.  As we went down a dirt road, we happened upon a very, very old oak.  It was as big around as a Redwood, though certainly not that high.  The loggers must have missed it in the river bottom when the big trees were logged so long ago.  Perhaps they just wanted to let one of the magestics stand.

Looking forward to where the future lies

Our niece came from Northern Wisconsin to have me take her Senior portraits.  She wanted something different from what the few photographers in her smaller town would offer.  A bit different from her classmates.  We visited the Mill City Ruins in downtown Minneapolis and then a park for these photos.

A different experience

This lovely spent a year with my sister-in-law’s family…our niece for only a year.  It went far too quickly.  In Germany they do not have Senior grade portraits taken as they do in the United States.  She enjoyed getting these taken – it was a different experience and treat.  Her family enjoyed the online gallery and seeing their much missed girl.

A girl and her horse

This was round 1 of photos for my niece’s senior pictures.  She had to have some with her horse, Sparky.  Unfortunately Sparky was a little injured when these were taken, but he was a good sport. :)
